6:59 AM Disabilities Division
7:00 AM Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5-Person Relay
7:25 AM 5K Run/Walk (Unique start on Lafayette & Washington Blvd.)
Road Construction
There are several construction projects in progress along the course, notably at the bridges over the Dequindre Cut at E. Lafayette (13.5 mile mark) and E. Larned (1.6 mile mark- 5k course), and along Atwater St (24.5 mile mark). All projects are scheduled to complete before race weekend. In the event they do not, we have detours planned and ready to go. Stay tuned to our website, and the Facebook and Twitter accounts for updates.
New This Year:
1. Beginning this year, we will be taking online registrations only. If you do not have a personal computer, here are some other options that may be available for you to sign up for these events:
Contact friends with Internet access
Computer terminals at your local public library
A local university that offers free Internet access
A local Internet café
2. We have combined the Half Marathon Non-Competitive Walk and the Half Marathon Run into the Half Marathon Run/Walk. We want to stress that we are not preventing you from walking the course, as long as you meet the time requirements. If you are an experienced, serious walker who would like to walk the entire course in a competitive environment, please enter the Half Marathon Competitive Walk Division. If you are new to the sport or would like to alternate jogging and walking, we ask that you sign up for the Half Marathon Run/Walk event. Entry fees, packet pick-up and time requirements remain the same for both divisions.
3. The 5K Run/Walk MUST be completed in one hour and ten minutes.
Race-related Community Events
Running Fit will be holding their Fall 20 Mile Training Run on Saturday, September 25th. Proceeds of the run benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Miles are marked and there is aid on the course.
