Kia Conquered Afterparty is the annual Detroit Free Press Marathon afterparty where runners and their supporters gather following Sunday’s race events. Held in the award-winning downtown park Campus Martius and the adjoining Cadillac Square, the event is located just about a block from the finish line — perfectly positioned for meetups after triumphant runners exit the course.

Conquered highlights:

  • Food trucks
  • A live performance by Detroit band Lyrical Heat.
  • An on-stage awards ceremony for race winners
  • Photo opportunities throughout the grounds.
  • Beer and other drinks
  • The nearby Charity Village (at Fort and Griswold), which features hospitality tents for some of the marathon’s
    key charity partners

Conquered runs from 8 a.m. -3 p.m. Sunday. It is free and open to the public.
