Conquered is the annual Detroit Free Press Marathon afterparty where runners and their supporters gather following Sunday’s race events. Held in the award-winning downtown park Campus Martius and the adjoining Cadillac Square, the event is located just about a block from the finish line — perfectly positioned for meetups after triumphant runners exit the course.
Conquered highlights:
- A food truck lineup that features DonutNV (coffee, tea, cider and donuts), Big Bo’s Grill (breakfast), Los Dos Amigos (Mexican) and Little Bite Big Taste (sandwiches, bowls).
- A live performance by Detroit band Lyrical Heat.
- An on-stage awards ceremony for race winners at 11 a.m.
- Photo opportunities throughout the grounds.
- One of the first opportunities to try Motor City Miles, the new official beer of the marathon that was produced by Detroit’s Eastern Market Brewing Co.
- The nearby Charity Village (at Fort and Griswold), which features hospitality tents for some of the marathon’s key charity partners.
Conquered runs from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. It is free and open to the public.
