Our 5K starts near the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center and William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor, along the Detroit RiverWalk.
Our 5K course will take participants along the Detroit Riverwalk, past Milliken State Park/Harbor, past Chene Park and through the historic Rivertown Warehouse District before finishing in front of the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center. Course map is coming!
NEW FOR 2017: There will be two waves: runners and walkers. Walkers will line up behind the runners and will start 5 minutes after the first wave of runners. This is for the safety and happiness of all participants!
Runners and walkers of any age and/or ability are welcome to participate in the celebration of fun and fitness. Because of safety concerns strollers, bicycles, roller-blades and skateboards are not permitted in any of our events, including the 5K.
Gear Check will be available for 5K Runners starting at 7:30am. It will be located under the pavilion in William G. Milliken State Park (closest to the water).
There are two opportunities to pick up your race day packet, which includes your t-shirt and bib number. You may have someone else pick up your packet, but they must have a copy of your confirmation email and ID.
