Celebrating our 40th Running was awesome. Now we’re determined to make Michigan’s largest road race even bigger and better.

Competitive 1-Mile

A new decade of running deserves a new race. Introducing our competitive 1-Mile! Held on Saturday, Oct. 20, this timed event is perfect for all runners and walkers! We’ll have different categories and waves which will take on a certified course. Location, course and more details to come!

The Motor City Challenge Series

Interested in running more than one event during Detroit’s Marathon Weekend? We’ve got your back. Introducing our Challenge Series! Pick from any of the below options and test your endurance!

• The Temptation: 1-Mile and 5K (Saturday, Oct. 20 only)
• The Wonder: 1-Mile, 5K, International Half (Saturday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21)
• The Supreme: 1-Mile, 5K, Full Marathon (Saturday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21)

Individuals wishing to sign up for a challenge must select the specific challenge they are interested in when registering (The Temptation, The Wonder or The Supreme). Runners and walkers who sign up for the events separately will not be included in the challenge. More details on extra swag and Challenge perks will be coming throughout the year!

2018 Begins Now

We couldn’t wait until January 1st to get this party started. This year, we’ll be opening registration on December 4th. Instead of capping our Early Bird pricing to the first few hundred, we’re extending it for one day! For all of Monday, December 4th (12:01 am to 11:59 pm). Plus, all those who registered for our 2017 races will receive an additional discount! Discount codes will be valid only on December 4th and will be emailed to everyone.
